Farmer Ted’s is a family run business and we combine farming fun with educational experiences so that children may enjoy learning about animals, habitats and food production within a safe environment. We cover all topics within the national curriculum.

About your visit

Group leaders will receive a timetable on arrival, with an allocated tractor ride time and a 30-minute slot for the indoor play area. There will be a full range of scheduled activities on the day for your group to choose to attend, with the chance to groom a pony, meet the ferrets, watch the sheep racing and meet all the animals in the barn. The Mini-Beast Adventure opens daily at 10am.

Prices

School Groups (Reception age and above):
Schools will be charged £9.75 per child for a recreational visit. Supervision is based on a 1:5 ratio for reception children, 1:6, for key stage one, 1:10 for key stage two. When this ratio is exceeded, we then charge £8.25 per head for the extra adults.

Pre-School, Nurseries and Toddler Groups - (Minimum of 15 children, visit during term time)

A non-refundable booking deposit of £100.00 is required to confirm your date. The outstanding balance must be paid in full on the day or prior to arrival.

Group Rooms

Visiting schools and groups are assigned a room as a base, to store packed lunches, coats, etc. There is no extra cost for this service, but we do ask that it is left as it was found, clean and ready for use. On busy days, large rooms may be split with a partition.

Play

Our many play experiences include the sand pit, pedal tractors, swings, slides and our aerial runway, Shaun the Sheep Adventure **, outdoor play areas , 30 minute allotted time in the indoor play area. Older Children may enjoy go-carts, jumping pillows and the toboggan run. 

Additional pay per play activates include electric tractors, electric diggers & quad barrel rides – at £1 per go. 

** Shaun the Sheep Adventure is open at various dates throughout the year. Please ask at time of booking for information about what is available on the day of your booking.

Shop

Shopping with a group of little ones can be a challenging experience and to aid a successful shopping trip, we provide a pre-packed souvenir bag service. This optional extra can be organised at time of booking, and the group may still use our Farmer Ted’s shop on the day if you prefer.
