Maintenance Team Member Job Description

Department: Operations

Business Unit: Hobbledown Epsom

Location: Farmer Teds Adventure Farm

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on and positive Maintenance Team Member to support the upkeep, repair and presentation of our unique attraction. This role is ideal for someone practical who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and has a real can-do attitude. You will help ensure buildings, landscaping, play equipment and guest areas are maintained to a high standard while supporting the wider Operations team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Main Responsibilities

· Carry out general maintenance, repair, decorating and site improvement tasks across the attraction.

· Assist with maintaining buildings, play equipment, utilities and outdoor areas to a consistently high standard.

· Support planned preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and maintain reliability.

· Operate safely and confidently using tools, plant and equipment where trained.

· Assist with landscaping, fencing, signage, groundwork and seasonal projects.

· Support event setup and operational requirements during peak trading periods.

· Ensure work areas are clean, safe and appropriately cordoned when carrying out maintenance tasks.

· Work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers and other departments when required.

· Complete maintenance records and report issues promptly.

· Deliver friendly and professional interactions with guests and team members at all times.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

· Experience operating tractors, diggers or telehandlers.

· Previous maintenance, grounds, construction or handyman experience.

· First Aid qualification.

· Spraying certificates/experience.

· Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices and safe systems of work.

· Experience working in a visitor attraction, leisure or outdoor environment.

Farmer Ted’s is looking for friendly and enthusiastic Front of House staff to join our team for the 2026 season.


You’ll be working across a variety of customer-facing roles, including food and drink outlets and retail areas, helping to create a fun and welcoming experience for our visitors.


Key requirements:

  • Previous experience preferred but not essential 

  • Good availability at weekends and during school holidays

  • Reliable transport essential, as the site is not accessible by public transport
