You are welcome to take your own photographs as you walk around the site.
There will be no photographs to buy of your meeting with Father Christmas this year.
Farmer Christmas is a walking adventure which takes you along a set one-way route, through indoor and outdoor areas of the site.
Along the route you will meet Father Christmas and receive an age appropriate present.
Farmer Christmas at Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm is in a Tier 3 area of the Government COVID alert system.
Customers visiting Farmer Christmas are required to follow the guidance for a tier 3 area, regardless of where they come from, to enable us to provide a COVID secure day out for everyone.
Yes, face coverings are a legal requirement in all indoor areas for adults and children aged over 11 years.
Our “Ted’s to Go” outlet in Hall 2 will be open for takeaway drinks only. We are unable to serve any food to be eaten on the premises or provide any indoor seating due to tier 3 restrictions.
Farmer Ted’s Grill will be closed.
Please arrive no more than 20 minutes before your Farmer Christmas Walking Adventure booking begins.
Please come dressed for the weather and suitable footwear for a nice walking adventure.
There will be no animal activities during our Christmas event.
Yes until nightfall (time and weather dependant) when we will close down the areas for your own safety.
No these are currently closed.
Picnics are not allowed during our Christmas event.
Barrel Rides will not be running.
The Shaun The Sheep Adventure will be open for you to walk through. Any related activities will not be happening.
Shaun the Sheep will be on holiday and unfortunately will not be here.
Outdoor play will be available until night fall, there will be no animal activities but they will be in their stables looking forward to seeing you.
Unfortunately this is a ticket only event and additional tickets cannot be purchased.
You will need to book your tickets on line. Please make sure you only arrive in your household bubble as we must adhere to Government Legistlation.
We will be ensuring correct social distancing by limiting guest numbers per day.
Good hygiene and cleaning will be maintained in all public areas. Areas of contact such as the arrival process and food takeaway services will be made with as little contact as possible.
Signage and markings will be in place and appropriate ppe for staff where necessary.
Contact during the arrival process will be kept to an absolute minimum.
Please be aware that you will be required to show your ticket Bar Code, ideally we would like you to print these at home. Scanning a mobile phone can be tricky!
This will however only be to show your pre-booked ticket barcode to a member of our staff. Staff members will be on hand to answer any enquiries you might have.
In the initial opening phases of Farmer Teds there will be no interaction between visitors and animals, namely no animal handling or animal walks. The safety of our visitors, animals and staff is our priority.
The care of our animals remains extremely important and we would reassure our visitors that they are receiving the same high quality of care and enrichment as they normally would.
We have taken extra precautions to ensure the safety of our animal care teams as part of the ongoing situation.

Following recent government guidance and easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we are delighted to announce that we have reopened the majority of our adventure farm, including the animal and reptile barns. There will be a one-way system in place wherever possible
We ask those using these car parks to observe social distancing and to behave responsibly.

As ever at Farmer Ted’s we are prepared for those liquid sunshine days. Many of our activities are already undercover and others can be moved indoors in very wet conditions. We also have plenty of undercover areas where you can sit or wait for the rainclouds to pass.
Why not bring your wellies, waterproofs, and umbrellas with you. Lots of our site can still be explored in the rain and splashing in puddles is great fun!

If you have any specific requirements you can always call our office for more advice: the opening times are Monday – Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm.
We realise that as restrictions across the country are relaxed some people may forget or ignore the safety advice issued by the government. At Farmer Ted’s we are putting in place measures to remind our customers of the safety requirements and we will be asking everyone to respect each other’s personal space while on site.
Our staff will be patrolling the site and although we do not want to have to intervene, if we see large groups forming or other obvious breaches of the guidance we may intervene.

Yes, as ever we will have 1st aiders on site but their interaction with you will be limited (except in a life critical incident). They will attend and provide you with 1st aid products for you to administer to your family member yourself.
Yes, although it is not where it normally is. We have moved it to Hall 1 so we can allow for social distancing.
- We are changing our menu so that we can serve you quickly.
- When ordering food, please check the menu beforehand so that you know what you would like to buy and that way we can serve you quicker.
Yes, as usual we will do our best to meet all dietary requirements. Please speak to our chef to discuss your individual needs.
No, unfortunately, we cannot provide social distancing on the tractor at the present time.
Yes, we will be having dedicated staff working their way around all areas of the site cleaning hand contact surfaces and emptying bins throughout the day
Yes, we already have several hand wash stations around the site, and we will be installing hand sanitiser stations as well so you can always practice good hand hygiene.
Yes, our staff will be cleaning them every hour and we will be providing cleaning equipment for you to use yourself, if you wish, in between times for extra peace of mind.
Yes, although we prefer card payments as it involves less contact with our staff cash payments will be accepted.
Whilst restrictions are eased, we will still be monitoring the situation very carefully along with following Public Health England and NHS guidelines.
In the event that the outbreak worsens again and we have to resume closure of the park, we will of course inform all of our guests accordingly.
Yes, you probably will however, with reduced numbers on site and your help we can speed things up:
- Please have your tickets ready to scan at admissions, a printed ticket would be best but if this is not possible please download all your tickets onto your phone prior to arrival as we will need to scan each one
- Members will need to provide their membership card with their printed ticket
